[Updated] Nokia N95 8GB V30.0.018 mod/hack

This is another method which is much simpler. Confirmed working in N95 8GB V30.0.018 FW..!!

Step 1: Copy installserver.exe and CProfDriver_SISX.ldd into E:\

Step 2: Launch X-plore, press “0″. Tick Show hidden files, Show ROM drives, Show RAM drives and Show system files/folders. Exit the configuration, and let X-plore run in the background.

Step 3: Install HelloCarbide. Run HelloCarbide, and select Menu1. Select Yes when a message appears.

Step 4: Open X-plore, move E:\installserver.exe and E:\CProfDriver_SISX.ldd to C:\sys\bin

Step 5: Restart phone.

Step 6: Install CapsOff and CapsOn. CapsOff enables you to see and travel through hidden/restricted directories. CapsOn turns back to normal. Remember to always run CapsOn everytime you’re done viewing/copying restricted folders.
 
Done!! You can install all unsigned applications and games from now on. Enjoy~!!

What I did is:

Till step 4 is pretty much the same. Than I only copy installserver.exe in C:/SYS/bin
Restart the phone
Install RomPatcher
Start RomPatcher and select Disable Caps

on you’re on…….:)

there are no workable solution to hack N82 v30 firmware at the moment.. but be patient as the modders and devs are trying to solve the problem as we speak.. :)

Hello friends, season greetings to all. I tried this hack-method on my n82 n82 v30.0.019 but it didnt work. I couldnt found bin folder in :C/sy. Still copied files to system & followed further procedue but still it didnt work.

thanks for ur comment.. as i mentioned earlier, there are still no working solution to hack N82 v30 firmware.. this hack only works for N95 8GB v30 firmware..

And can anyone tell me if i can run unsigned apps now?

Or do i need to do anything else?

Cause i can’t use (UnSigned) symbian apps untill now.

Btw i have got V30.0.018 Firmware

I had to reset my N95 8GB because nothing worked anymore after restarting my phone…

too bad….

Mayby someone can email me about it & explain a little bit more ….

I did all of that on my N95(not 8GB). Try to install App TRK v2.80.6 OS9.2 FP1.sisx. I am taked “cant install” error message in the middle of intalling. did i still need bindpda?

certificate may not yet be valid or phones date settings may be incorect

The tutorial is very easy i can say, by reading the steps but I have a problem, i dont have x-plore installed on my cell so cant see E: and when i try to install it i get the error message saying certificate expired. what to do now ?

I kept the phone date to 2008 and x-plore installed without any problem. now when wanted to copy those 2 files, i dont have C:\sys\bin folder at all, i tried creating the bin folder but getting error dir cant be created. :( what to do next ?
